Homebirth Help !!!!!!!!!! Posted: 06-10-05 18:43pm
I thought I was 37 weeks exactly on
wednesday 9th june at 11pm on 8th I
started having contractions pretty regular
about every 6 minutes building to a peak
then going this is my 2nd pregnancy well
these contractions were still coming
strong at 5am so I thought it best to
phone my partner he came home from work
and things started to progress again they
started coming every 4-5 minutes lasting
30 - 40 secs so I thought oh great early
labor by 7 am I phoned the midwife as I am
having a home birth and she came gave me
an internal and said I was 4 cms dilated
which made me pretty happy she stayed 2
hours and went to do her calls well by
12pm in the afternoon things had stopped
another midwife called in and said I
wasn't in labor she didnt even check me
out she left then and I thought I would go
to bed for awhile well by 2pm contractions
had started again but not as regular they
were very painful so I called the midwife
that had said I wasn't in labor back and
she came to see me she said it was early
labor but wouldn't do an internal and
would not break my waters because I was
only just 37 weeks but when she checked my
file it turned out my dates were wrong and
I am really 38+ weeks pregnant well as far
as I know I am classed as full term but
she still wouldn't do anything I know I
need my waters broken as I have been told
my waters are tough (have had a few
pregnancys that sadley ended in
misfortune) they broke my waters on my
daughter and after 17 hrs of labour she
finally came within 15 minutes of them
doing it but this midwife wont take
telling she thinks its best to let it all
progress naturally and not interfere,
labor was still coming but not regulating
at all getting further apart rather then
closer together I was still contracting
really painfully at 11pm but went to bed,
well at 7am this morning (10th) they have
stopped and I have had niggles here and
there but nothing major more of a pressure
feeling then anything, I need help to
start it all back up again any advice
????? :(
Go to a hospital girl!!!! You out of all
people should know what your body is
telling you...

I dont even feel in labor any more thats
the problem so unless I really have to I
dont want to go into hospital (have a
really big fear of them) my back pain has
gone but every now and again I get a
little pain in my lower abdomen but I am
thinking thats just pressure because he is
now or was 3/5ths down

I just went for the indian and plenty of
sex on the sunday my waters broke midwife
came at 4:50pm and he was born at 5:07pm
quick birth but glad its over with :lol:
