Thrown Out of Pain Clinic

Please do not commit suicide! You never know all of the people you hurt when you do that. My father did that and my life will never be the same without him. He wasn't there on my wedding day, he will never see his grandchildren, etc. I know the pain is bad but please do not kill yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you tried a homeopathic doctor? I have heard that they can wmrk wonders when no other doctor can. Give it try!

Whatever you do, please don't hurt yourself. One of my good friends killed himself over the summer right in front of me and I haven't bee the same since. You will hurt so many people. It really isn't worth it. Please don't. On the subject of your pain, I understand. I am 23 years old and was in a car accident 10 months ago. I have suffered from sever pain ever since. I went to yet another doctor and was diagnosed with a bulging disk at c5-c6 and a herniated disk at c6-c7 and then with a bulging disk at l4-l5 and a degenerative disk at l5-s1. I am in pain from the time I wake up until whenever I fall asleep. I can't sleep because of the pain. I can't sit or stand or do anything that I used to be able to do. I spoke to the orthopedic doctor about it and he gave me a few different options. The first is called a facet joint injection. It is a brief outpatient procedure where they take a needle and inject cortisone and some steroids into the affected disk space. So far, he has had great success in patients with this. Another option I have explored is called vax-d. My mom actually saw it and it turns out that it is for people with low back pain. It has a 75% success rate in patients who go. It is only for like 24 or so visits and it is covered by most health insurance companies. The final option he gave was fusion. He does not recommend this though. There are other solutions that may work for you. I would recommend seeing an orthopaedic doctor and see what he or she has to say. The info on facet joint injections and vax-d is all available online. Take a look and see what you think. Hopefully this will help you out. Whatever you do, keep your chin up and always try to look on the bright side, no matter how hard it may seem.

Just joined to give you a little advice. I don't know for sure about who is near you but your best bet is to try to find a Dr. Like the ones I see. Do not, I repeat do not allow anyone to cut on you until there is no other option available. The best way to locate a reputable pain doc is to go to a doctor search engine and use the search for a clinic option.

I have many friends that have gone the surgery route and do not know a one of them that are better, most are much worse. Remember, a surgeon only gets paid if he plys his trade. I have major back and neck disc problems and after finding a pain specialist that works with my surgeon, I am again productive and not in constant pain. I know that one day I will have to have the surgeries I need but not until there is no other way. I have other sources for info, but pain.Com is a great place to start. Aside from finding a doc, there is a world of information from medical professionals there.

i have had the appointment. I feel very happy because the surgeon has given me so much hope I just had to come back to let you know that there is hope. After spending over one-and-a half hours with him, and speaking about everything, he feels that he can help me. Firstly I only need one hip replaced, and it will be with a new procedure, which he has been practicing for three years. He feels that he will be able to help me with the back problem also. I will be having the operation in febuary 04. I would love to have the op to-day, but I will happily wait until then. This is just to let you know that there is allways hope. And for anyone suffering, out there please,please, get in touch and I will let you know the name of the surgeon. After been told that the only way, I could have my back fixed would be by fusion. And that the operation would be twenty times more serious than the cervical spine opration which I had, had. And that the only way I could have the operation is if I wanted to kill my self. So I am very pleased. That I will be able to have help.

No matter how bad your pain is, please dont kill yourself, it may feel like your never gonna get any better but you will, think about the pain and hurt your family will go through, they will suffer more with the loss of you, I know at times you feel like no one understands, and no matter what you do or try nothing works, but you cant give up, there are many treatments available, I at times feel like giving up, and it seems like my problems only happen to me, but if someone isnt offering me the help I need I keep going to the next doctor, and I will keep going until someone finally gives me the help I need, sometimes you feel all alone, and no one cares, and its depressing, but life is so precious, I think about other people who have more serious health problems, severe disfigurements , loss of body parts, cancer, etc. Then I realize what im experiencing is nothing compared to what they have gone through, I value each day im here, all you can do is take it day by day, your not alone, dont give up it will get easier. Taking your life is not a solution.

All the symptoms you have expressed can be significantly reduced with homoeopathic medication. The radiating pain,numbness etc.
Your homoeopath would need more symptoms to find the right remedy for you.

Hello troy, whats the latest on your back? I have the same problems as you.Plenty of rest and exercises, finally lumbar l3-l4-l5 discectomy I felt good for 3 months then scar tissue set in impedeing the nerve giving me more back pain & leg pain then I was on the merry go round.Pain clinic.Morphine,lumbar facet joint injections,psycholigists,etc...Any how just hope things have worked out for you,yes you got to be strong,plus you soon find out who your true friends are.Good luck.Lets know how you are..
