Lots of Side Effects With Birth Control, What Can I Do? Posted: 06-12-05 17:00pm
I started taking ortho-tricyclin lo in
november of 2004. I had side effects
such as irritability, changes in appetite,
mood changes, fatigue and lethargy...I
basically had all the side effects. I
talked to my gyno and she said to give my
body a few months to adjust...So I did.
I took it for a while longer and still not
better, so I went back and talked to her.
She switched me to mircette and i've been
on it for two weeks, and I still feel all
the side effects, and the irritability and
mood changes are worse. I don't know
where to go next, or how long I should
wait to see if it gets better. I'm
fighting with my boyfriend because i'm so
irritable and I don't want to! I love him
very much and i've got to get this sorted
out! Please help me, if you have any
suggestions.......

Hi, ive been on so many birth controll
pills, and had side effects similar to
yours on most, I kept going back to my
nurse, and she kept changing my pill, then
she put me on cilest, which I have
suffered no side effects from, this pill
has more of one hormone than the other, it
carrys less side effects, maybe you should
talk to your gyno about cilest, I cannot
guarentee this pill will work for you, but
I do think it is worth a try.
