How Soon After Gallbladder Diagnosis Posted: 06-12-05 18:51pm
I have a question and I was wondering how
soon after a diagnosis of a gallbladder
problem did you have surgery to remove it?
As of last thursday(2 days after my hida
sascani was told that my gallbladder was
only at a 17% infraction rate and that was
considered abnormal. My doctor said that
it will have to be removed but he wants me
to have an upper gi endoscopy first. I'm
in a great deal of pain and I would like
this to be over as soon as possible. So
that why i'm wondering what others wait
time has been. Thanks!!

I had an ultrasound that came back I had
an inflammed gb wall with polyps, then I
had the hida scan done and it was normal,
then I had an endoscopy done and I had
"mild" gastritis. It was done to be sure
there wasn't anything else that could be
causing my symptoms. It took about 6
weeks after the endoscopy before I had my
gb out.
