Birth Control Pills And Weight Gain Posted: 06-15-05 03:12am
Hi. I just started taking the pill
yesterday. I take ortho-tricyclene lo.
Almost everyone I know that has ever been
on birthcontrol pills before, tells me how
they have gained a lot of weight after
starting. Is this pretty much a
gaurantee? Someone told me to take water
pills to reduce weight gain, will this
help? I plan to begin a regular exercise
routine and a diet, i'm just not sure if I
can stick to them. Please give me any
information or encouraging words. Thanks!

Thats just what I was thinking when I
started I was like...Uh just how much
weight gain exactly??:p
well its not for shure. Some people gain
wait.. Some even lose weight. Then some
just stay the same. I havent noticed any
real change so far (im on ortho tri
cyclen). Im sure that eating healtier and
regular excersize wouldnt hurt at all (lol
booo). It may help you keep your weight
down to where you began and even though
they say you gain weight I dont think that
the weight gain is like monsterous. But
id just wait it out for the first little
bit and you'll probably just balance it
out if you give it a chance. If it really
bothers you id just go back to the doctor
who prescribed

First, don't ever listen to other people
when it comes to weight gain. Everyone
is different and everyone's bodies react
in different ways to birth control. Some
gain and some lose. I think a lot of it
is psychological. Just don't think about
it and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Drink lots of water so your body doesn't
retain more. You may have to pick up the
pace a little, but I don't think the
weight gain is significant enough to need
a vigorous workout.
