Has Anyone With Anxiety Probs Gone Through With Pregnancy?

I have suffered depression and anxiety for many years on and off but more or less suffered from depression for about 7 years. I had a baby in october 2003 and suffered post natal depression following the birth of my daughter and was put onto prozac which was only one a day but within the past 3-4 weeks my doctor has put me up to two a morning due to finding it difficult to deal with the death of my mother in march 2005.


I also take propranol for panic attacks, which I first suffered on a bus while on the way home from town. I felt really bad and it was only when I spoke to my brother about the symptoms and how I was feeling that I realised I had suffered a panic attack. I felt as if I had left my body and everyone was looking at me as if I was some kind of weirdo, I dunno it was a strange feeling! As if I was there but I wasnt. I was also sweating, feeling sick, chest pains and shortness of breath.

My first panic attack was when I was pregnant but it only happened the once but 6 months ago it returned and I now get them quite often. I'm not saying you'll suffer depression, anxiety and panic attacks because everyone is different.


I would speak to your doctor about the problem as usually during pregancey you cant take many prescribed drugs, especially during the last three months.
