Hi everyone, I would be grateful for any
help here. I live in a very old victorian
aged house, and my room happens to be on
the third/top floor. Summers are very hot
and humid, winters incredibly cold (i live
in the uk).
The problem - the room tends to be
abnormally humid, and I believe the air
quality is bad, because I seem to be prone
to illnesses, like colds, coughs. I
sometimes feel like i've got an all year
cold. When I wake in the morning, i'm
usually always congested, and need to blow
my nose a few times and i'll be fine once
I leave the house. I also tend to get
lots of spots (i'm 24, and past pubity
before any of you ask!). At times, i'll
come into my room straight from a shower,
and within 5 minutes i'll feel grimey, and
clamy again. I'll go to sleep and wake up
with my face feeling oily.
I believe the problem to be the room
because I moved out for 3 years and hardly
ever got colds or coughs, then as soon as
I move back, i'm always getting ill.
Now, i've seen a few possible remedies.
Firstly i'm gonna get some more plants to
help with air quality. But what I really
need help with is whether to buy an air
puriifier, or a dehumidifier. Can't
afford both cos they're so damn expensive.
Any opinions on what could be the problem
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
