Hi everyone i'm new to this site and am
bipolar and have recently started dating
someone who is also bipolar. In saying
that I need help with finding out if it's
normal for my bf not to be able to hold
down a job? I myself don't seem to be as
bad as he is with the illness. Work to
me is a challenge but I believe it's a
challenge for everyone with or without
this disorder. If anyone can let me know
if him not working is related to his
illness or is it simply that he just
doesn't want to? Thanks for any advice.

I have wondered the same thing....My b/f
lost his job in a music store last year
and hasn't worked since...His work history
is sporadic and he doesn't seem to have
much interest in establishing anything
solid. It really bothers me.
