Okay, I really don't know whwta trhe
symptoms are for parkinsons, but my mom
thinks my grandma has it..
My grandma has a lot of back problems.
She has osio perosis (however you spell
it) really bad and her back is hunched
right over. She has had surgery in both
her knees and in one hip. She still can't
walk very good, but she gets around...
Now she is very shaky. Like with her
hands. She'll be sitting in her chair and
her hand will just start shaking. (not
violently, but enough to notice) she also
has a fuzzy memory sometimes...But she's
79 years old...
Three major symptoms of Parkinson disease
are tremor (shaking), decreased movements
and muscle stiffness (rigor). Fuzzy memory
can be also present in Parkinson disease
(in late stages), but it is more typical
for demention.
Does your grandmother have any other
neurological symptoms beside hand shaking
and memory loss?
Old age can cause both Parkinson disease
and demention.

Unfortunately my grandmother passed away
last year. Actually, what really caught my
attention was that I had posted that
question exactly two years, to the day,
before she passed away. Weird.
She was never officially diagnosed with
Parkinsons, which leads me to believe she
didn't have it. I was concerned at the
time, and I guess I just needed to
know...
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for
your response.
