Getting Pregnant

I know this may sound like kind of a wierd question. But I heard that it's bad to have sex every day when you are trying to get pregnant. Something about that the sperm don't have enough time to form properly and there's a greater risk of having birth defects or complications. Is this true? And how often should you have sex if you're trying to get pregnant? Thanks!

If you are trying to become pregnant then you should not have sex everyday, but it is okay to have sex every other day. You should not have sex for three days before ovulation though, that is simply to improve the sperm count. The more active sperm, the greater the chance of conceiving. But I have read alot about this topic and I have never heard anything about birth defects because you have sex everyday. I would say that is simply not true.
