Six years ago I was diagnosed with
transverse myelitis after I had numbness
in my right arm and leg. The mri w/
contrast didn't show any brain lesions but
did show a bright area from c2-c6.
Itintially they thought that I had a tumor
but ruled that out after surgery and said
that it was "idiopathic demyelination".
One neuro said that this was a "singular
sclerosis".
Two days ago I nearly rear-ended another
car because I couldn't get my right foot
off the gas and on the break fast enough.
After readjusting the driver's seat for 5
minutes I realized that it was my leg and
not the seat that was the problem. I'm
also having some trouble holding a pen -
my hand gets "stuck" while writing.
These symptoms seem similar to what
happened to me before except not nearly as
bad. I'm hoping that maybe it's just
some scar tissue from the surgery causing
the problem but i'm terrified that this is
an "attack". Does it sound like at
attack? There's no pain or numbness -
just weakness. It doesn't seem to be
getting worse.
