Is This a Symptom?

Voices that you believe are your friends, speaking in jibberish that only your mind can interpret that has a sort of 'beat' to it?

Sounds like words being said very fast, and have a sort of rhythm to them. Really annoying sometimes. Just be sitting down watching tv or somethng and you got some 'beat' going on in your head that you can't control.

I'd say yes, that sounds exactly like a symptom. One very common misconception to the public is that having schizophrenia is a bad thing that must be treated. However I would say that as long as it's not terribly affecting yours or anyone else's life(lives) then it's fine. I derrive weird predictions for my life of the future out of everyday, household items. I am a little schizophrenic because of this (and other reasons, of course...) but I don't find that it bothers me that much so I accept it and live with it. Sometimes I try to follow the predictions, but who wouldn't? ;)

Yeah, I know what you mean. I can't really control the 'voices' but they're kind of helping sometimes, plus I end up finding myself talking inside myhead to myself, occassionally moving my lips.

Don't think I need 'professional help', it's just nice to know that i'm not alone, and can have a conversation with myself, and ask myself questions and answer them.
