I am 19 years old and I think I may have
gotten herpes from an ex. I have a new
boyfriend now and I dont kno how to tell
him this. Do people with this disease
have kids and if so ... How do they do
this without infecting their partner??
Not sure what to do... Any advice??

Before you assume you have herpes...Go get
checked......
It could be something else too......What
are your symptoms?

This may sound dumb, but have you had any
rough sex lately?..
Sometimes, after my boyfriend and I get it
on rough...It had really burned, and
itched for a while...
You could just be really irritated..
I get like that most of the time after
sex.....I have done to the doc, and got
screening done for all of it....And
results came back clean on all accounts.
It is possible to be allergic to sperm
to... It carries bacteria...Which can
give you such a bad infection...That it
makes tiny tear like spots on your
vagina.
I am allergic to all sorts of
stuff...Which does the same thing. If I
wash with a certain kind of soap...It will
make the tissues of my vagina bleed.
Let me know what you think..

Hi guys, i'm new to this particular forum
but just been having a look around.
Thought I might be able to help you out
though cause my boyfriend gave me genital
herpes (we're both so angry with
ourselves!). Anyway, it started out like
little white cuts and because they were
cuts I thought they definitely couldn't be
herpes. Left it alone for a while and
they turned into sores that looked like
ulcers you could find inside your mouth.
Left it alone yet again and it began to
hurt like crazy, sting when i'd wee and
get yellowish scabs on them. Realised
that whatever I had had obviously got
infected so went to the doc (super
embarrassing) and got some antibiotics.
Only had it break out twice since then (2
years ago) and those ones have not been
anywhere near as bad and disappeared
without tablets.
So, if that's what you've got, and your
partner does get it, it's not all bad.
But if you're really worried about
infecting him there are obviously other
ways to become impregnated.
And, when you have your baby, you can
notify your gyn and they'll do what they
can to check it's not passed on to your
baby in delivery. Hope that helps.

When you saw those cuts what do you mean
white... And how long did you wait before
going to the doctor?

White Cuts Posted: 06-23-05 20:44pm
They were white like the skin inside your
mouth would be when you get an ulcer.
Like a razor cut or something, but really
tiny. Dunno if that explains it. Hope
it helps.

Only took about a week and a half/two
weeks maybe, to get the secondary
infection which forced me to go to the
doctor.

Testing Posted: 06-24-05 12:22pm
Swetline and others, while you all
continue to debate the hows and ifs' of
herpes, we should always remember that
this virus is common. It can be viewed
by experienced health care providers, but
only legitimate testing must be used for
confirmation.
The original poster also had a question
about bearing children in the future.
The response was missed so i'll clear it
up. Herpes will not prevent pregnancy.
However, it is critical to know if you
have herpes prior to pregnancy. If you
are having any type of outbreak close to
or during delivery, you will not have a
normal vaginal delivery. The baby could
be put at risk, so c-section is suggested.
