All I want is for the extra little bit of
fat on my stomach and thighs gone!!! Is
aerobic exercise the only way? I know if
I strength train alone that won't help me
get the definition I want.....So any
adivce? Is running and aerobic enough
with strength training?

Yes it's enough, possibly too much.
Focus on the aerobic exercises first and
get into a proper routine, eat properly,
sleep well, get your fluids and vitamins
in.
Step one is do your aerobic exercises
until you have lost all the fat that you
want, at this point your body will be slim
shapely, but soft to the touch. You will
want to firm up.
When you're ready to firm up, your diet
will have to change, you will have to eat
more, but still healthy. You will be
strength training to tone your body and
firm it up. You will be eating more as
you will need these extra (healthy)
calories to build muscle. Muscle doesn't
build on its own, it has to be made from
something. (proteins, and amino acids
from your food!).
Do this until you're toned to the
consistency you want, and have the shape
you desire... You will have to continue
doing cardio at this time, but not as
intense as you once were you will be
moving into a "maintenance phase".
