I am a 19 yrs old female who was diagnosed
with hpv when I was 18 yrs old. Since
being diagnosed, I have been treated for
severe dysplasia (3rd stage). I had
pre-cancerous growths on my cervix. I
had a cone biopsy done back in june which
removed all of the abnormal growths.
However, when I went for my 3 month check
up, new cells appeared. It appears that
I now have first grade abnormal cells.
My question is, I have been informed that
there is a chance I will not be able to
have children or have natural childbirth
?? I was wondering if anyone out there
could help me.
A second question I have is, how does a
hysterectomoy prevent cervical cancer from
coming back again ???
It seems every time I go to the doctor I
get overcome with confusion and am scared.
I just sit there instead of asking
questions. I am too young to be going
through, and it saddens me to see that
there are many people like me out there.
I am just thankful I live in canada were
health care is free.

Not a response, but empathy! I too am 19
and scared to death. It sucks that one
stupid mistake ruins everything! At least
u live in canada. I do everything through
clinics and I havent told my primary care
doctor I have it or my parents. No one
knows but me.
