Hello everyone! My husband and I have
been trying to get pregnant for about 3
months now. I was supposed to start my
period this past thursday (the 13th), I
have had some very slight spotting today,
but not much. I took a pregnancy test
(ept) and the lines came out extremely
faint, in fact, the only line I really saw
was the negative one. I have had some
bloating in my abdomen, and I have been
tired lately but that is it. My breasts
don't feel tender though, in fact, they
never do, not even on my period. What do
you think I should do? What are some
other symptoms? Thanks for you help!!

Hi regina,
you could possibly be pregnant, sometimes
the pregnancy hormone takes a little while
to reach a detectable level on the home
tests. The fact that your period is so
late is a good indication. Tiredness is
defiantely an early pregnancy symptom as
is frequent urination. Some other
symptoms include nausea, sore or tender
breasts and sensitive nipples although you
did mention that your breasts are not
actually sore. Not everyone are going to
have exactly the same symptoms in
pregnancy, some women don't experience any
pregnancy symptoms until 4 months. You
could try taking another home test, and
take it in the morning when you just get
out of bed, the hormone should have built
up enough during the night to give you a
fairly accurate reading. If you are still
not satisfied with the home test, you
could request a blood test from your
doctor, which will provide definate
results as to whether or not you are
pregnant or not.
Good luck

Thanks for you help susy! I just went to
the bathroom and I started my period.
I guess my period
was just late, but it's odd because I am
always 29 days. Oh well, I guess we'll
keep trying. Thanks though!

Hey regina,
keep your chin up girl, and most
importantly keep trying. Hey the fun part
is trying. It will happen for you. Try
to keep in mind that most women release an
egg 14 days before their next period, so
prepare hubby around your ovulation for a
bit of a roll in the hay. Lol
