If you have herpes simplex I in your mouth and then have oral sex with a girl, would she then get that in her vaginal area? And how bad would it be?

Unfortunately, herpes can be a switch hitter. If you have a cold sore (aka herpes simplex on your mouth) and you give oral sex to your partner you can transmit the herpes to their genitals. And I think that anyone who has herpes will probably say that it's not a very aggreable virus. Remember also that if you have a virus, you have it for life. So if someone has genital herpes, it can be supressed by some drugs, but it will never go away, and they can pass it on to others. Condoms do not protect you against herpes or hpv! What i'm trying to say is: dont give oral to your partner if you have a cold sore! Talk to your partner, you two should get tested, just in case. Don't underestimate a piece of mind when it comes to std's, and be careful! Smile if you arent sure that what i'm saying is right, thats cool. But talk to an expert.

You should check out this article on herpes ( both oral and genital) online. It's quite interesting and informative:
