Problems 11 Years Post Hysterectomy!! Posted: 06-27-05 08:10am
:( greetings to one and all,
i was surfing the net and found this
wonderful support. I am now 37 years old.
I had a partial hysterectomy in 94; I
only have my right ovary. At first, I did
not have pms but within the last 3 years
it has been horrible. I get the
dehabilitating cramps (i always have had
those), one of my doctors suspects
endrometreosis.
During this last occurence of pms, I had
breast tenderness, cramps, bloating, and
bleeding! Yes, bleeding. I was freaked
out! In the past few years I have
experienced a discharge--yellowish in
color. I was told that, thaat discharge
was blood platelettes and when air hit s
it, it turns yellowish. Well, this time
it was dark reddish brown and the more I
used the bathroom the more I had
discovered that the blood was fresh and
pink! What does this mean? I have had
pain on my right side since the surgery
that seems to be worsening. I get ovarian
cysts all the time.
In fact, the reason for the partial was
that I had a 9 pound fibroid pushing on my
uterus and bladder. I leak urine and have
experienced numerous bladder infections.
From what I have been able to investigate,
the doctor did not do a bladder tuck at
the time of surgery. I wear panti-liners
all the time and am very self-conscious
about urine odor. I have accidents which
are quite embarrassing.
Why would my body attempt to have a
"normal" period after all these years?
What is really happening? Why would I
bleed now?
