Negative Test Until Period Stops? Posted: 11-16-03 10:39am
Is it true that if you are pregnant, that
a pregnancy test will not show up as
positive until your period stops? So
say you are 3 months pregnant, but you are
still having your period every month, will
the test show up as negative?

No, this is not true. If you are pregnant
and still getting your period its probably
because you have low progesterone.
Pregnancy tests detect hcg.
A negative test plus a period probably
mean you're not pg.

I'm pregnant, I know that for a fact. I
was asking for a friend of mine who swears
up and down that she is pregnant, yet
continues to have negative tests and her
period. I told her she was undoubtedly
not pregnant, but determination is hard to
overcome.

So it is possible to have your period and
be pregnant, only if you have low
progesterone?
