Well I woke up this morning n I noticed this lump when I was walking.I felt a funny feeling next to my anus.I checked and u cant see it without spreading the hips apart.The lump is about the size of a pea and its a little dark.It doesnt hurt when I sit or anything it doesnt even hurt when I use the toilet.It only hurts ocassionaly when im bending over to sit but the pain isnt that much its very light.Im really worried because im only 15.Any one have any idea wat ti iz id really appreciate the help thanks alot.

I have a clearish (almost greyish, if not clear) bump that seems to start inside my anus and extend to a small bit outward (but only on one side, it does not cover the hole obviously). Poking at it, it feels almost gel-like. It doesn't hurt when I use the bathroom unless I happen to be (i don't know how to say this delicately) pushing extremely hard. It doesn't hurt when i'm sitting/walking/etc. Unless I happen to have used the bathroom previously, and the pain is very mild, mostly unnoticable, and lasts for maybe 20 minutes. I've tried to research it and i've ultimately decided I don't know what it is. Any help would be much appreciated thanks, john

Hi there... much the same as previous posts however the lump I have is not at all painful and about 1cm away from my anus! Any ideas?! Thanking you in advance

DONT WORRY GUYS!!! i had the same problem. a small lump a bit bigger than a pea, that was sort of clearish/greyish which looked sort of like my intestines were coming out of my butt (sorry to be so graphic, heh). i was freaking out because when i typed "anal lump" into google "Anal Cancer" popped up. YIKES! but i looked into it. its just a hemorrhige (sp?). okay, breathe now, you're going to live. im not a doctor but the symptoms are the same & im only 20 so its highly unlikely that ive got cancer. a hemorrhige is an inflamed blood vessel that can either be inside or outside your anus & the population is HIGHLY likely to get one before age 50. they usually go away within a couple of days. you can get oitment for them, or in severe cases if it really bothers you, you can get it surgically removed. what causes hemorrhiges can be A) being pregnant & the weight of your baby on your intestines B) hard stool which aggrivates the vessels C) pushing to hard (heh) D) many other factors can contribue to them. don't worry & search em for more info.

they're called hemorrhoids. if it is really bothering you, you can try to push it back in your butt, which will relieve the pain. they may pop & bleed, just keep them clean & its not a big deal. also, if you've got blood on the outside of your poo (fresh, not mixed in with the poo) then thats most likely an internal hemmorrhoid. same deal, not a big issue but i you can get it removed if its a huge inconvienence to you.

hi i am 18 and i recently found a lump near the bottom left of my anus and i don't know if its a hemmorroid. it is black or blue like described in some of the others and it is about the size of a pea maybe a bit larger. sometimes it hurts or somewhat itches when i clamp my butt together and i can push it in but it comes back to the place where i am describing. it started hurting out of nowhere and then i looked in to it cuz i thought it was a rash at first and i found this lump. can anyone possibly tell me if it's an external hemmorroid and if it will go away anytime. if any one can will they inform me ASAP.

i posted on here last august about a lump on my anus and although the pain has gona and has been gone since about a week after it appeared, the lump is still there. Is this normal? or should it have disappeared by now?? i don't know what to do about it because i'm scared that if i touch it then it will hurt again. any help greatly appreciated

I have pretty much the same thing people here describe as a dark pea. but the thing that is worrying me is that my mom just recently went into surgery for hemmeroids and it turned out to be cancer. Also i've had mine for probably two years now. what is this ointment called? and will it permanently get rid of my horrible dark pea?

I also noticed a cut or something on the outside of the lump. I have been worrying nonstop about anal cancer or something like that. Please someone tell me what is wrong. I have no health insurance and am broke as hell right now so I can't go to the doctor.
