Hey everyone :p

i was just wondering if you're stomach grows does that mean the baby is definately developing?

Im asking this because I was pregnant a year and a half ago and when I had an ultrasound I found out the baby wasnt developing and it was dead, and I hadn't grown at all.

Im 13 weeks pregnant now and when you look at my stomach side on you can definately tell im pregnant.

This is a good sign isn't it?
Im just so scared of it happening again

I ahd 3 ultrasounds (5, 9, 12 weeks) in my first tri cause of 2 previous miscarriages. Then after I had 2 more (ultrasounds at 19 weeks and 32 weeks) to make sure he was devlopping properly. You've made it to the 2nd tri so, so far so good. See if they'll give you another u/s if it'll make you feel better.

Im pretty sure that i'll still be terrified though, cause the baby died a week after I had my first ultrasound last time.
And my pregnancy is considered high risk even if the baby didn't die last time which annoys the crap out of me cause I only have one kidney that works half of what it should.

And the clinic haven't given me an appointment til i'm 16 weeks, in another 3 weeks so it looks like my first ultrasound will be the 18th week or so.

That all depends because women aren't supposed to show until their 4th-5th month. Your tummy and intestines may be pushing upwards to make room for expanding uterus, but your baby is still about the size of a lady bug at 13 weeks or so.

You need to get an ultrasound done or find a doppler to use to determine if the baby is alive.

I've actually read that at 13 weeks, your uterus is the size of a grapefruit and the baby is the length of you're fist.
I read this on good old ivillage!!!!!!
