Greyish Discharge-bacterial Vaginosis?
Posted: 07-02-05 15:17pm

Has anyone else had kind of light greyish discharge a few days after sex? I have no idea what it means..I just had a pap smear a few weeks ago and it came back normal.

Edit: i've researched this online a little bit and it looks like it could be bacterial vaginosis. Has anyone had this? I can't get in to the doctor until tuesday (they're all closed for the holidays) but, when I do, if it is vaginosis it looks like I will be prescribed some medicine. Is it really as bad as it seems? (everywhere I looked it said side effects are nausea, vomitting, and I can't drink alcohol until i'm done with the antibiotics-my 21st birthday is in a week and a half!)

In my opinion it is more effective-- and I think you can drink... But it is gel you must insert in your vagina... The pills made me sooooooooooo ill. I threw up eveerytime I took them.

There's a one dose product called clindesse that's a vag. Suppos. Costs about the same as metro-gel or clindamycin cream treatments...
Oral metronidazole is given to prevent recurrent vaginosis infections and you will get a reaction with ethanol consumption
