for a as long as I can remember I have
always been an anxious person. When I get
nervous I feelo sick. But over past 2
years its gotten worse. I feel sick when
I leave the house and wake up thinking oh
no, I am going to start feeling sick
again. Getting worried about being
worried.
There are points in the day when my head
is clear and I am fine again, but I am
getting frustrated. I have a gf and I am
worried that its going to affect my
relationship with her.
Anyone got any tips, music relaxes me
sometimes, but its not always practical to
have headphones strapped to my head =p

I Feel You Posted: 09-20-05 18:31pm
Omg I have the exact same symptoms like if
my mind is occupied I feel fine but once I
start gettin the least bit stressed I
start feelin nauseated and often I gag
because I start freakin out and since I
have a phobia of vomiting it makes
everything a million times worst I go into
a panic attack atleast 4 times a week its
so hard for me since im 14 and have to go
to school, missing all the classes iv
missed because I feel like this is hell
but dont worry just push the doctors untik
they find sumthing to help you it mite
mean your gona have to be put on
antidepressants, or benzodiazepines which
are for generalized anxiety disorder these
meds calm you down which means if your
calm yur not stressed which mean since
your not stressed your not nauseated I ono
if it will work for you I dont even kno if
its gonna work for me but iv got an
appointment wit my doctor in a week and im
gona present her all these options iv read
about since theyre not giving me the
answers I need im gona push and bring
information because or else nutthings ever
gona happen theyre just gona keep sendin
yu home sayin yu have to deal with your
stress we all need the extra help from
meds and you will most likely need therapy
to help you manage yur stress its worth
it. We cant let it take over our lives.
Here are some types of pills that I read
about that mite help try talkin to yur
doctor about them.
Anti-nausea pills:
-compazine
-phenergan
-zofran
antidepressants:
-effexor
-paxil
meds for generalized anxiety disorder:
(benzodianzepines)
-xanax
-librium
-valium
-ativan
-buspar(affects the activity of certain
neutrotransmitters, including
serotonin.Buspar does not cause
sedation(sleepyness)or lead to
dependancy(addictions)
i hope this helps you I really recommend
you present this information to your
doctor it might help a lot if not it was
worth a try.

Well "I Feel You," there's your clue.
And forget all those drugs you alluded to.
You are waaaayyyy too young to start
that kind of life.

You need to restructure your life to
prioritize maintaining a calm, centered
energy.
You should practice hatha yoga or Tai Chi
3-5 times weekly until you can teach your
mind to find that stillness on command.
You should not indulge in medications to
wash over these symptoms-- they can have
very serious side effects.

hey tankbrute6!
i know exactly how you feel i
got the flu a couple years ago and i
havent quite felt the same either but it
helps if you try to ignore it the best you
can. i got sick when i was at work so i
tend to get worried alot when im there and
also in public since im afraid its gonna
happen when im out somewhere! i try my
hardest not to think about it but i know
it can be hard. you should just try to
stay busy! i hope this helps . GOOD
LUCK!!

It sounds like you are in a continual
cycle of being afraid of being afraid. You
are so scared of being sick that you worry
so much about it that it actually makes
you sick. You really do need to find a
professional to speak to before you become
afraid of life itself.

Hello, I can empathise with all of you as
I have struggled my last few years with
severe anxiety in this way that all of you
explain! I am from Australia living in the
UK for the last 4yrs and I have had a lot
of emotional issues that I think are
related as well as the fear of being
sick, which for me the very long plane ride
I have ahead of me...I fear as I know I
will 'feel' sick and dizzy and my stomahc
goes crazy like it's full of acid bubbling
away and I just feel so horrible...but I'm
never actually sick.
I saw a hypnotherapist earlier this year
and he as amazing. It was a 3hr session
which I preferred (and was cheaper on the
whole) if you can afford to see one his
name is Tom Breeze and he is based in
LOndon. To help you overcome the issues it
is an absolutely amazing experience to
understand 'why' which that itself helps
you to overcome the worry and stress and
anxiety.
I was feeling a lot better when I had seen
him however I have suffered a severely bad
inner ear infection after having a cold
where, would you believe it, I feelt and
still feel nauseated each and every day!
(My worst nightmare!) I was bedridden for
3 weeks, out of work for 4 I couldnt walk,
I didnt eat adn I couldt sleep as when you
clsoe you eyes the vertigo (dizziness) is
so bad you feel like your moving when
you're not...just like ho I feel when I am
anxious and I am about to go home for good
in just 5 weeks time! I have had these
horrible vertigo and still have bad ear
troubles 8 weeks on and am seeing an ENT
specialist next week...but I am so worried
now about how my ears will be on the plane
and if I feel sick and I am panicking all
over again and doing the hypnotherapy was
good up until now...now I have a heap fo
other worries to worry about!
I know there is nothing anyone can do but
I need to work at this myself...
BUt my advice is try some therapy - know
how your mind and sub conscious work they
are VERY powerful and even if it gives you
back some confidence...find your happiest
thoughts guys...what makes you smile and
feel relaxed? i.e. remember a particular
time with your family and or friends,
imagine yourself in that time and whenever
you feel anxious or fearful of what may
come, imagine that moment. Learn some
breathing techniques as these realy do
help as wel ladn try some Rescue Remedy;
you get it at Boots and I find it does
help to calm me a bit
I hope sharing my story and my trials may
help each of you to find some things that
help you...I know it s horrible thing and
it does take time but you need to learn
and understand why, discover precisely the
thing that you fear and why you feel the
way you do. It usualy is a moment that
stciks and you need to get it sorted out
to help move on...
I hope I have helped in some way to
you...I hope that I too learn to be
stronger and live a normal life once again
when I am home in Australia around my
family again and just to be..happy!
