1st happy 4th of july to all! :)
just one more thing I wanted to ask all that are on this site! Some of the classical ms symptoms are tingeling or 'pins and needles feeling' in the toes, fingers, arms ex.
When you get this feeling of pins and needles, my question is how long does it last? Meaning does it last minutes hours, days?
2nd question can you shake it off meaning rub or shake out the feeling or does it just stay?
I have had episodes where I will get up to walk and I can feel this odd pin and needle feeling in either or foot or toes at anytime, hopwever it will go away after a minute or so! Usually it is when I am sitting down for a while or even a short time or when I have been riding in cars and then I get it out.Its the strangest feeling!
Please give me some examples or 'true' ms patients have you experienced this?
Thank you all for reading this and (if you take the time to respond :)

Are you having an exacerbation? I had a relapse a few years ago which involved the symptoms you're referring to--"pins and needles" in my feet and hands. I was usually able to lessen the sensation by shaking or rubbing my hands or feet. After a few weeks, the majority of the sensation disappeared. I do still have a slight tingling along the outside of both my hands--but it doesn't affect my motor skills in any way. The only think about it is when my neurologist asks me if I still have the tingling.

I hope this helped a little. Hang in there. Hopefully it won't last long.
