I had a laparoscopy and had my right tube removed. I have regular periods, every 29 days but they are way shorter now. They used to be 5-7 days, and now they are barely 2 days long. Hope that helps. I have heard of women having irregular periods after a hysterectomy.

I had all three of these surgeries about three weeks ago my periods use to be every three weeks my last period was june 9th if my period does not come by saturday july 9th do think I should worry about being pregnant. My surgeon said my periods should not be affected by the surgery however, every woman body is different I greatly appreciate your opinion (nancyms) I notice other post you have made, you give great advice.

You should worry about pregnancy if you have had any unprotected sex. And you are right every woman's body is different. The Dr. Told me to worry about nothing, but I know my body has changed completely. I get cysts on my ovaries now. If it will ease your mind any take a cheap pregnancy test and wait a few days to see if you period will come. Sometimes even though we really want to trust drs. And their opinions it is hard because they are only human and do make mistakes, and alot of the times all they can offer is their opinion. If you do not get a period, within a couple of weeks and and test negative on the hpt, I would call your Dr. Back and let him know. Sometimes they can induce your period with progesterone, but make sure you are not pregnant if they do this. Also, you may buy an opk to see if you have any lh in your system to see if you are ovulating.

By the way, thanks, since I have gone through 2 failed pregnancies, I have read everything there is to know about it, and fertility. I am trying to minimize my risks for my next pregnancy.

I to nancy have cyst on my left ovary about 6 small ones they remove 4 large ones during the surgery and my left ovary is some how connected to my bowel. I am only 22 years old I just graduated from college about 3 weeks ago I split from my boyfriend of 8 years about 6 months ago however he is the only person I would even consider being the father of my child although we are not together. I will keep you posted in a couple of weeks to let you know if I am pregnant or not and do you have a email address.

Hi there! If you do not trust your dr, get another one and you always have a right to a second opinion.
Good luck!

Erica, let me know what happens. I am just a little older than you are. I am now 23. If you want to be pregnant good luck, I wish you the best, and let me know what happens.
