I have been diagnosed with auto immune
hepatitis. Never heard of it before I
found out I had it. I am responding well
with medication & hopefully I will go
into remission.
I am currently on 10mg of prednisone,
100mg of imuran & fosomax one time a
week to counteract the prednisone's side
effect of osteoporosis.
Want to know if there is anyone else out
there with this?

I too am newly diagnosed with auto immune
hepatitis. I was to start prednisone and
imuran, but my liver enzymes went back to
normal. The doc said that now there is
no need for the pred, but that I should
start on the imuran. I am reluctant
after reading all the posts about it on
another site.
I feel too good to believe that I have
anything wrong, so it's hard for me to
agree to go on some medication that may
have all kinds of side effects.
