I Have Heard
That it is best to wait till at least the 5 month mark.. Cause at least by then you can see everything.. Yet your baby isnt so big that all you see are angles!!!.. A friend of mine had one.. For her third baby.. And she said it was the best thing she've ever done!

She said it was such a nice way to see instead of imagining what the little one looks like with a 3 d one...

Wierd enough though my sis who is 26 2 weeks.. When she got her u.S done.. She had a 3 d done.. But instead of getting that little spit out of paper with the pics of baby.. They gave her an x-ray sheet!.. Like that when you break an arm!...

She was disapointed cause she wanted to send some pics to family back home and now she cant!...

That sucked!

I know I wont be getting my u. S done at the same place!

Enjoy!
Hope I helped!

Thanks chyenne! I'm 5 months now going on 6 soon. I just had my ultrasound recently and I saw my baby for the first time. It was ecstatic so I would describe coz my child was moving a lot when when we had it (ultrasound). From that time on my bonding with my baby became stronger and I can't wait to see him/her soon. Thanks again!

I heard that when you're 18-20 weeks pregnant (aka 4 1/2-5 months) you can take a videotape into your ultrasound and they'll tape it for you so you can watch it....I thought that's really neat...And you get to actually take it home with you for a keepsake.

Jlee77

where you able to see what you are having? Because I heard that you can't tell what you're having 'til 18-20 weeks pregnant....At least that's what my Dr. Told me.

No, we wanted it to be a surprise. So when your 16 weeks you already saw everything? I had my sonogram when I was 19 weeks. Jlee77, i'm just wondering, you had your 4-d ultrasound at 16 weeks?

If you are then no we didn't find out yet....We want to when we're 5 months or whatever.....I'm about 11 weeks so about 3 months....I'm due feb 1st, 2006, my one cousin beth is due like 1 week after me, and my other cousin on another side of the family jess is due march 9th....(they're both cousins from my side of the family...Just one's on my moms side and the other's on my dad's side).

Nicknack,

yes, the first answer was for you. I was referring to jlee77 when she said she had it when she was 16 weeks. I was asking if she had the 4-d or just the regular ultrasound. Anyway, good luck on your pregnancy and congratulations to you and your hubby. Take it easy.

Congratulations! I'm glad everything's doing well. Yeah, it was one of those life's precious moments when you get to see your child for the first time. When I saw mine via ultrasound, I got teary-eyed. My hubby and I saw our baby moving-a lot! They were kind enough to give us a bunch of pictures with different angles of our baby. Btw, do you have any idea how much 4-d cost? Thanks and congrats again!

Extremely eHealthy
My sister had hers a week ago at 27 weeks and it was amazing. She had one with her last daughter and I mean you can see the difference. Annabelle (the baby she is pregnant with now) has her nose, and chin. The doctor could also tell that she had a perfect spine. I think the later you wait the better. But this ultra sound really shows the way the baby looks. When she had katelynn (her two year old) the pics from the ultra sound looked just like she did when she was born. (her daddys cheeks and nose)

good luck.

Thanks! We plan not to know the sex of our baby. It was tempting for me to know but oh well...Anyway, regarding the pricing, do they have this combo package for example: pictures only, or pictures with video and so on? If yes, how much are those?
