Has Anybody Had This Happen, What Was Wrong?
Posted: 07-08-05 09:52am

I have had one child, so I know how it feels to be pregnant. I have felt pregnant since the end of march. Headaches, nausea, etc, the list goes on. I did a few home tests and they were all negative, the doctor did a blood test and that was negative too. I have had bleeding every month but since april it has only lasted a day or two each time. The doctor also tested for a hormone imbalance. All the tests were negative. I concluded that I am not pregnant but now I notice that my pants don't button and my stomach is very firm which is unfortunately not the norm for me. I can't shake the feeling that I still may be pregnant even though it seems impossible. I still feel pregnant. Has anyone had a situation like this? What was wrong? I didn't know where my question fit in so I decided to ask here figuring that you ladies may have had a similiar experience or know someone that did. I am going to shut up now and hope for some helpful input. Thanks! Jen

The only thing that I can suggest is have the doctor do an ultrasound on you to find out if there is a little one growing inside you! :)

I have another appt. The 19th. I don't think that he will do an u/s to see if I am pregnant unless I get a positive test. An ultrasound is what I am hoping for though. How often do people get negative results for a blood test. I thought they were pretty accurate. I would be happy if I were pregnant but I have a surgery scheduled for september on my eyes and I don't want to put it off. My vision is deteriorating quickly. A baby would be the only good reason to feel this crappy though. :)

Yeah, feeling crappy is horrible...I'm feeling it right now all day long! :) if there is something wrong with you internally they need to do an ultra sound anyway to see if there is something wrong or not wrong and just pregnant. There has to be another alternative if he won't do the ultra sound. May be go to a different doctor and tell them about it, get a second opinion or even go see if you can go to the hospital and get one done. Something has got to be going on for your periods to be acting that weird and gaining weight also...You know what I mean?

Hi, you know my neighbor across thestreet is having the exact same thing happening to her. She should be in her second trimester by now. They have her taking prenatel viatimins just in case. I suggest you do the same. Try to not do anything you wouldnt do when you were preg. Take it easy. Tell us how the ultrasound goes. I saw my first ultrasound at 9weeks 5 days.

I really would be so freaked out if I was pregnant because I was very careful what I ate and drank when I was pregnant with my son. The only things that I would worry about would be all the caffiene that I have consumed and the occasional beer at cookouts. I did buy some prenatal vitamins. I would be happy but worried.

When I first thought I was pregnant I was careful. Then the doctor said that I wasn't so I stopped worrying about it. For about a month I was convinced that I couldn't be then the doubt started up again. I probably didn't do any damage. I am talking 5 beers over the course of a month. I am being careful again. I am a worry wart by nature :0) thanks for the replies ladies. I will let you know what happens. I appreciate any input from anyone that has an opinion.

Problem w/erectile dysfunction but can't take viagra or anything else b-cause of heart problems. Also my menstrual cycles are not very predictable. Any suggestions on how we can get pregnant asap?

I don't know...Only thing I can suggest is for both of you to see a specialist and talk to him/her and see what they tell you. Good luck!
