the Neverending Period!!!-ahhh!:) Posted: 07-10-05 23:29pm
So I just began the first week of my third
month on ortho-lo. I had my period fine,
no problem the first month, but now my
period has begun and just won't stop.
It's been a week and a half already, but
it's still pretty moderately-heavy. I
have to change my super tampon every 5-6
hours or so, only get about 4 hours on a
regular one. It's a real pain and I do
believe i'm beginning a yeast infection,
and I don't know how I can put that
monistat tablet in while I also have a
tampon in or while i'm bleeding so much.
I have a nice chunk of that bloody
goo/uterine lining/whatever each time I
change my tampon, as well. My mother, a
nurse, tells me to see my doctor and I
know I probably should anyway, but I don't
really have much time to nor the
ridiculous amount of money she would
charge to see her. I was wondering if
it'd be alright to just try to wait it out
and hope it stops on its own little
lonesome, or if I really do need to just
stop everything and submit to visiting my
md... I'm taking the pill for acne, not
for menustral regularity or as actual
birth control. Anyone have any
experienced advice? Thanks!

You might get so weak and anemic, you have
to go get this checked
at least take some iron, you could bleed
until you're in shock...It's happened
if the bcps are not helping, something's
not good...Fibroid, endometriosis, some
lesion...Cannot dx over internet, it's
called money well spent to go check

Thanks for your reply and advice. It
doesn't matter that the pils do seem to be
helping my acne? Because it's lightened
up considerably in just these past two
months! I'm so happy about that!
So the md, if you insist.... Darn!
