I experience this, its because when you
are sitting down doing nothing your mind
is constantly thinking about your
symptoms, and stange as it may sound, you
might not even think that your doing it.
The key to this (or so I find) is get up
and do something, even if you dont feel
like it, you need to do something that
will take your mind off it. Remember this
can be hard, just try to forget about it
as much as you can. Hope this helps,
james

Anxiety And Panic Posted: 07-11-05 16:50pm
I have all of the above: hypochondriasis,
anxiety and panic disorder. I am on
medication but my strong mind can still
get the better of me. I agree that you
should get up and keep your body busy.
This keeps the mind from having total
control. The mind is so powerful, isn't
it? If only we could target that
strength and use it in a more beneficial
way. I've read so many self-help books.
Just know that you are not alone.
