So Very Scared That I'm Pregnant!!!! Posted: 07-12-05 17:34pm
I'm 20 and married but we can't afford to
have a baby right now. We have to much
on our plate right now paying off our
weddingmoon to jamaica, our new house,
bills, ect. My periods have been weird
cause I got off of the depo shot last oct
after being on it for 2 and a half years.
They have been regular even though they
aren't a normal period. I would bleed
heavily for 2 weeks and then not have it
for 2 weeks and then start the process all
over again. Well the whole week before
we left for jamaica we were having sex all
the time without protection cause we
figured it was safe since I still had a
week till my period was suppose to start.
Well my period came a week early. Now
i'm tired all the time, i'll be nausaous 1
min. And the next ravished but after I
eat I feel sick again, my lower back is
killing me, and now i'm getting a sharp
pain in my left lower abdomen. Plus my
period is now 1 and half weeks late. And
I was lightly spotting on again off again
for a couple of days. Should I be
concerned and get a pregnancy test or wait
it out and see if my period ever comes.
I'm just so scared cause we we're drinking
alot of alchol in jamaica and at our
wedding reception. Whats the best brand
of hpt to use? This all happened 5 - 6
weeks ago.

The light spotting could mean implantation
bleeding, but i'm just going by what
others have said because i've never been
pregnant. You should be able to test now
if you're period is a week and a half
late. Test with first response because
with that brand you can use it even before
your period is due so if you're late you
should definitely get a correct result.
If its negative try not to stress about it
because that could cause your period to be
late also.

We took a hpt last week and it was
negative. My tummy feels somewhat better
but now the last few days i've had
heartburn really bad and I never get
heartburn. And my period still hasn't
come. Just so occasional spotting.
Should I be concerned?

You're period could be late because you're
stressing about it. I know that happened
to me a while ago. I was over a week late
and took a couple tests which came out
negative but eventually I got my period.
Try not to worry about it (which I know is
easier said than done) but if you're
concerned go to the doc and get a blood
test done. That will be more accurate
because sometimes women just won't get
positve hpt tests.

I finally got my period 4 weeks late but
it was very odd. It was extremely heavy.
I would fill a super tampon to the point
i'd be leaking in 4 hours. Normally I
can make it through the night just fine
with a super. This time I couldn't.
Could this of been some sort of
miscarriage? I'm kinda freaked out by
how much blood I lost during my period.

Cic you see any clots of any kind??
That is sure sign of miscarriage.
My first pregnancy 3 weks after
conception, I week late, blood and clots,
2nd pregnancy 4 weeks after conception, 2
weeks late, blood and clots, third
pregnancy 6 or 8 weeks after conception, I
month or more late, 2 weeks of hard
cramping, bleeding clots and
distinguisable mucusy clot. Miscarried
and had d&c at the hospital.

Yeah I had blood clots. I normally have
clots with my periods but these were
bigger and more of them. I've had a
miscarriage before but it was differnt
than this. I had big chunks come out and
it hurt like hell and it all happened over
night not over a weeks time. I did have
some bad cramps with this period but
nothing like last time so i'm just not
sure. I hope this isn't what I get to
look forward to with only having
miscarriages instead of pregnancys

First baby was on a one night stand--dint
really want baby yet--but I would have
loved it anyway
2nd one first night with my first husband
did want it kinda--not really ready
3rd was also with husband --we did want
her and mourned when we lost her.
Then I had my first son healthy on time,
a little late
next one was a molar pregnancy where the
baby dies right aafter conception and a
growth grows-- I almost bleed to death
next one was 4 1/2 month, strong heart,
bleeding clots the size of my hand. Came
out alive they couldn't take care of it,
not medical facilities for it. A week in
labor
next one my daughter she came out late
too, but waited to be born on my birthday
next one 6 weeks or so preg got in a fight
with best friend for sleeping with my
husband --miscarried within 2
weeks--emotional stress I believe
then my last son-- dont know how late--12
months no period. My beautiful baby is
19 years old now.
So I have 3 live births and 6
miscarriages, no medical reason found just
how it was. Grateful every minute for
the ones I have. Believing for a miracle
baby after hysterectomy. I still have
ovaries and 1 tube which is tied.

Wow thats sad. At least u got to have 3
beautiful children and not all
miscarriages. I was glad about my 1st
miscarriage cause it was the summer before
my senior year in high school and the last
thing I needed was a baby. This one if
thats what it was will be with my husband,
we aren't finacially ready for one but we
still wanted it.

I am sorry if you did.
But I can say it seems like there is never
a finacial time to have a baby--
just real expensive, seems there never is
enough "week at the end of the money"
if you know what I mean. I do understand
times being tight though.
God bless you both

You might seriously think of going to the
dr and getting checked because if you did
miscarry you might need a d&c that is
where they clean you out and scrape your
utererus(sp) to avoid infection and to get
on some type of b/c device until you are
ready. Congratulations on your marriage!
I bet when you are both ready, things
will happen. Jamaica is fun, aye!
