I just got presribed antibiotics (omnicef)
and steroids (methylprednisolone) and i'm
on birth control. I will be taking the
antibiotics for 10 days and the steriods
for 6. I know antibiotics decrease the
effectiveness of birth control, so how
long do I have to wait until my birth
control works again? Would it be 7 days
after finishing my antibiotics?

seven days seems like a good marker. It's
probably less but than again, a week is
not very long to wait when the results of
not waiting could be a child. Ive been on
antibiotics before and read the info that
comes with them so I am pretty sure that a
week would be sufficent.
