Confused

I'm 20 years old and I just noticed something. On saturday I had an allergic reaction and wheezing(asthma) at work so I went home early and later that night I went to the bathroom and noticed what look like a rash. At first I didn't do anything because it was on my inner thighs. Then about 2-3 days later it looks like it is on my gential area. I don't think it is a lesion because if my understanding is right it is like a cut. It's not a cut because it looks like a small area of red smooth skin but they are on my inner thighs and just recently on my gential area. Is this a symptom of an std? I don't think it is herpes becuase a sign is usually a lesion and it isn't a lesion. So then could it be something else?

It could be just part of your allergic reaction like hives. Or it may be eczema. Have you ever had eczema before? I sometimes get it on my inner thighs. It could also be a heat rash. Is it itchy? And have you had any unprotected sex with someone you dont really know lately? If you havent then I wouldnt worry about it being an std. Keep your eye on it and if it doesnt start to go down in a few days, or if it gets worse, go see a doctor.

I just want to say thanks for your reply and your input on the situation. It has been about 2 weeks since I noticed it. The last time I had sex was like 2 months ago and it was protect sex. But from the time I saw it to now I see what looks like a rash on my gential area and one rash spot on my left arm,one on my right foot and the beginning of one on my left arm. I am also starting to see more spots on my feet though. The same day I notice the rash I had a n allergic reation so I don't know if whatever this is is contagious. About the itchy, at first it didn't but after aout a week or so it sart to itch. I have never heard of eczema but I don't know if with that kind of disease if it should spread to other parts. The possibility of it being a heat rash is pretty high because about 3 months ago I got a new job in a kitchen (my first kitchen job) and I have never sweat that much on a weekly basis so it conuld be that. The last time I had unprotected sex was 4 years ago and I got test a 3 years ago and I was all clear

Eczema is a skin condition that usually happens from dry air,, but sometimes people just have it. It is very itchy, and gives you red scaley skin, sometimes bumps.
Heat rash in your case is very possible, but it sounds like it is spreading to other areas of your body. How big are the spots though? Heat rash is usually very tiny bumps. And how long do they last for? If it is an allergic reaction, it is not contagious, but it can spread to other parts of your body. Usually if it is an allergic reaction, the rash will subside shortly after the allergen is removed. Try to keep the affected areas as clean and dry as possible.
It definately doesnt sound like an std. If it continues to spread, go see a doctor.

It's not eczema! I'm telling you that it is no where consistant with the skin condition. It's possible, but not probable based on what you described.

Don't start putting any medication such as hydrocortizone on it. Putting any type of corti-steroids type medicine, including the famous medrol, is given out freely and can be abused. It's not addictive, but it is an immune suppressant.

If you are having an infection, you don't want to alter your immune system or shut it down a little bit. If it's limited to your genital area, it could be anything from an std (even with a condom) to a simple heat rash, or friction burn.

Don't start putting meds without a doctors advise!

I just want to once again thank everone for their help. The size of the rashes are about a fingert nail big. I am going to make an apt with the doctor tomorrow. I guess my question is is what is a lesion? I mean I have seen pictures of them being with like puss and stuff and small. Mine look like fingernail size red flat red spots( not bumpy). About 2 days after I notice the rash I shave my gentials and inner thighs and about 5 days ago it start to itch. So I don't know if it is just like heat rash or what.
