I was just recently prescribed
ciprofloxacin hcl 500 mg and
phenazopyridine 200 mg for a yeast
infection and bladder infection at the
same time.
I had the infections for about two weeks
and I had went to the doctor once, and the
first time all they did was prescribe me
some kind of cream that didn't do any
good. After it not going away over a
week later, I went back to another doctor,
and I was prescribed these two
medicines.
I've taken these two medicines before, and
never experienced any side effects, but
now i'm getting symptoms I am pretty sure
are from one or both of these medicines.
I'm really sore on the outside of the
vagina area, and bleeding a lot, and i'm
not on my period (though it's bleeding
almost as much as if I was on it), and i'm
not pregnant. I'm also in a lot of pain
when I try to have sex, and i'm unable to
do it because of the terrible pain and
bleeding. This didn't happen the last
time I had taken these medicines, but I
wasn't sexually active then.
I've looked up side effects on both of
these medicines, and haven't been able to
find anything about bleeding, or the
pain/soreness on the internet, so I was
wondering if any of you have any idea
about what i've asked?
Edit- also, I just recently stopped taking
birth control, I thought i'd also include
this incase it has any effect on any of
this.
