Post Hemiarthroplasty (hip Replacement)
Posted: 07-14-05 22:04pm

I had a hemiarthroplasty 6 months ago, due to a fall where I broke the neck of my hip right at the ball.
I have had physical therapy for 6 months. I am still having to use a cane, because without it I have pain in the groin area, and also in the hip area itself, and down along the lower part of my leg, and walk with a limp.
My doctor says I may always have pain in the groin area. And if the pain gets worse, I might have to have the hip replaclement , replaced.
Which needless to say I dont want to have. The recovery was very painful, for almost 4 months.

Anyone have similar symptoms, and anything that helped the pain without pain pills?
