Telogen Effluvium Support Posted: 07-15-05 11:34am
Hey everyone. Are there any women out
there suffering from te? I am very young
and suffering from it from horrible
stress. I have been put on some
medication and special shampoos to kick in
regrowth faster. Any advice or support,
or stories you guys have would be great.
Thanks so much.
I was researching this for my friend, and
it was mentioned that scalp massage might
be helpful as it brings blood to the root
where your hair grows.
I'm interested in finding out if
acupuncture would be helpful.
If you don't mind my asking, i'd be
interested in the drugs you were
prescribed.
Thanks,
loretta

I'm 21 and experiencing hair loss. I
have been battling anxiety attacks and
depression since age 17 but I know many
anti-depressants can cause hair loss so I
opted not to take them. I would be
interested in knowing if the shampoos or
anything has helped you. Please let me
know.

My heart goes out to you all. I'm 25 and
three months ago began losing my hair
after having my son (now 5 months old).
My doctor told me it's telogen efluvium
and he told me in about 6 months the hair
i've lost will grow back. I've been put
on the pill to help regulate my hormones
but i'm still so depressed. You can see
my head no matter what I do.
I would really be interested in anything
that helps if anyone has any information
about this.
