My ex husband has always had a different
slant on reality, but the last year it's
gotten out of control. He talks to
people on the internet, and now thinks
he's making movie deals with directors,
and working with fight promoters. He
tells the kids that he deals with don
king, and sylvester stallone's agent.
His girlfriend has been financially
supporting him, but the "deals" are
costing her too much in cell phone bills,
etc. Our grown kids think they should
intervene, but he thinks this is all
normal. He has schitzophrenia in his
family. Can he be schitzophrenic?

I am no doctor but anyone who is creating
make-believe people, events or in your
case....Movie deals has a problem. It
might not be schizoprenia but I think you
should get him into a doctors office and
maybe see about getting him to change his
profession. Get his gf to tell him that
he needs to either make money from these
deals...Or get a real job and stop making
stuff up. Also schizoprenia is heriditary
so it is a likely possibility.....Sounds
like the movie...The beautiful mind
