I have been noticing purplish bumps on my
upper inner thigh near my butt and vagina,
on average about 1 ot 2 every few months
or so. I have had an std test and it came
back negitive. At first I thought it
might be a pimple but when I popped it it
was full of large amounts of pus and
blood. Im very concerened and
embarrassed.

Sounds Like In-grown Hairs Posted: 07-16-05 22:29pm
I had this when I was younger around my
butt. Sounds similar. Are they
painful? Mine got large and they kind of
hurt.

sometimes rubbing against my jeans... If

getting them in other places as well...
Where I shave ect, and not just my inner
thighs? Is there away to advoid getting

Sound like its a boil. You can buy boil
ease its over the counter it will help the
head to come out and then pop it all the
puss will come out.Or you can just sok it
with a hot rag and clean it with
antibacterial soap.My cousin just had some
not to long ago.

Same Problem...painful, Visible Sores That Don't Go Away! Posted: 08-11-05 11:43am
Sounds like what i've been going through.
Does the sore usually start out as looking
like a pimple, itch, then grow firm and
painful? A doctor once told me it was
ingrown hair too! But I don't understand
why it is only on my upper thigh and
groin. Why not in other places I shave?
It is very very painful isn't it. I feel
it just walking when I wear jeans. At
least I know I am not the only one w/this
problem. At first I had thought was
genital herpes, but thought there would be
no way, since the guy I was with had only
been w/one other girl, who had never been
w/anyone else. I got tested, and of
course came out negative. Have you
considered seeing dermatologist, or have
you already seen one? I am going to see
dermatologist very soon about it. I have
dealt w/it since january, taken medication
after medication, and nothing has seemed
to help. Good luck w/it and let me know
if you find out what it actually is and
what is causing it! How to treat it would
be good to know...That is why I am seeing
the dermatologist. Doctors always seem
like they are just guessing, and i'm
freakin tired of it!

What the Doctor Says...guess?! Posted: 08-12-05 10:28am
What does the doctor say? The doctor
keeps giving me antibiotics for what she
guesses might be the problem (these are
not helping the problem in long term...It
goes away for a while, but then comes
back, usually worse). I went to see
another doctor, and he said it was ingrown
hair and not to worry about it; just to
quit shaving so much. The problem has
gotten worse tho, even tho I don't shave
often on my upper thighs and groin. This
is why I am going to see a dermatologist
asap, b/c I am tired of doctors who don't
know crap about what is going on!
