Can't Take It!!! - Help
Posted: 07-17-05 10:56am

I just can't take this anymore...

Theres never a second when I don't feel like this and I feel trapped
indoors because if I go out I feel like i'm gonna collapse or something.

I'm only 15 and this stress is unbearable.

I have constant palpitations (where my whole chest shakes cos my heart is beating so hard, not too fast) am constantly jittery and lightheaded, feeling as if I will collapse any moment.
These are not the only symptoms I get plenty of others also

i went to hospital again last night and they did ecg...Etc and still couldn't find anything wrong. But I just can't live like this...

I am convinced I am going to die of a heart problem any second and now I have a severe pain in my neck and feel nauseas, and i'm also convinced that there is no point in living anymore, because even if I don't have any disease I am scared that this constant stress and anxiety will have physicaly damaged me, and I will never be able to live again...

Listen my friend, there are many other people on here that feel just the same as you, and worse. As it happens, im am 15 and have had worse symptoms for about 5-6 months now. The symptoms I get are severe headaches, chest pain, palpitations, dizziness, and some others. I have had an ecg, ct scan, blood tests, and everything came back perfectly normal. Its called anxiety (or so I hope) and it sounds like you have got a similar thing to me. I have a fear of going outdoors incase I collapse etc and also dont realy like staying in my house alone in case I collapse. Chest pain, nausea and light-headedness are all classic symptoms of anxiety. Do you have panic attacks??
Heart problems are easily diagnosed and at 15 I would say its unlikely anyway. Have a look round the forum and you will see many other people who have similar symptoms. Dont think that you are the only one who has this because you most definatly are not.
Also anxiety cannot hurt you, so dont worry about it.
If you are still unhappy, see you gp.

Hope it helps,
james

p.S. Do you have msn messenger so that we could chat?? Me and you are going to get along great ;-)

Hi there! Please talk to a professional about this, they can put you on some meds that will help and like the other posters have said, you are not alone, in thee 1st place you need to breathe. Their are places you can go to get help, check out mental health, don't worry, I am not trying to tell you that you are crazy, it is just that we all need a little help sometime and there is nothing to be ashamed of. Please get help before it is too late! You can always come here and talk about it, there are a lot of good people here, but aalso look into more of a professional level.
Sincerely,
sandy

:) thanks jamesab...All sounds so familiar...

About panic attacks, i'm not really sure if it's what you would call a panic attack...When I start thinking about the state i'm in and worry I start panicking and hyperventilating...So yeah I guess I do get panic attacks.
The rest of the time I have these never ending symptoms 24/7 which is one of the things that makes me panic now and again.

i am scared of going out in case I collapse so yeah, I suppose I get agoraphobia...I just feel like I am constantly trapped in because of feeling like this, which is one of the main things which causes me to panic.

yep...I always feel like that...Slightly better the moment I am going to sleep and then I dread waking up the next morning to
another day of this hell...

It's been going on for about 4 and a half months now, I guess I just have to hang in there until I see the doctor.
I don't know how i've managed to get this far, it's not my life anymore,
it just seems to go on forever...
It's like a prison sentence except much worse
(especially now it's summer - it sucks being trapped indoors).

Thanks again for all your replies :)

edit: I need to set up a new msn messenger account and yahoo
so i'll give the addresses when I get round to it...

Dont Give Up Hope

I have been where you have. I felt the the very same feelings that you have to the point of nor wanting to live anymore. You got to hold on and not give up. It simple to cure yourself of axiety. Dont feel like you are alone . Read the book a purpose driven life and see if that dont help. Keep your faith in god and he will get you through this trial.

There's a reason for alll these troubles. It's because something happened to all of you as a child that had some sort of impact on you. Like i have every possible anxiety problem there is. See a counselor and talk to him/her and find out what the root of the problem is and take care of it from there. We're not meant to live like this. Trust me and talk to a pro about it. They hear about this stuff everyday. DON'T GIVE UP!!! I'm right here with you guys.
