Re: Irritation After?

I shave completely every week. I don't use a disposable razor anymore; they don't work as well. I don't have a girlfriend or anything, it just feels a lot better.

I put some regular skin cream on it (mind you, this is just in the pubic area) and the itch and irritation is gone. But I think the red dots are irritated pores where the hair is growing out of.

Is there anyway to get rid of this? It wasn't there yesterday or the night of the day I shaved.

Those are called razor bumps. You can take preemptive strike on that by using a special gel for sensitive skin. It should say on the label "helps prevent razor bumps" or something like that. But for the first few times you do it they will show up to some degree. If you stay on the same schedule, though, they should stop.

i just use a razor. Once you do it its easier the second time and there after. I just run a razor down there like every other shower I take to keep up with the growth.

I suggest taking a warm shower and getting your scrotum relaxed, then very carefully taking the skin in a pinch and slowly using a brand new razor and plenty of shaving cream to shave your sack. Worked great for me. Took about 5 minutes and I was slick.

We, wife & I shave everyday with a razor. Not a problem. Yes, at first you have some irritation, but that goes away. We also visit the nude beaches and nude resorts in Jamaica and most pubic areas of the people, male & female, are smooth like "a baby's bottom". Much nicer, smooth and clean.

I have used a rotary electric razor, but I have to be extremely careful, so I don't necessarily recommend it. The big problem with shaving the genitals i that, like the face, it has to be done on a regular basis or you get itchy as the hair starts growing back. I find that a close trim works better. The one question not addressed above is how to deal with hair in the anal region. Although I don't see any need for worrying about it in case since I don't do anything sexually in that area, the question was raised. I had a friend with the same problem. My suggested solution is what I did with the mass of hair growing on my back. I had a friend treat it several times with Nads. The long term result (three years and counting) is that the regrowth was much less to the point that it was no longer a problem. I could see using it in the butt crack, but doubt anyone could use it effectively on the genitals.

If you use a razor you might want to put a little lotion on the area each day to prevent in-grown hairs
