When I was younger, 17 and 18, I had just started having sex and so every month was a stressful event as I waited for my period (even though my boyfriend and I used protection every time). This stress coupled with the stress of day to day life did make my period late a few times. Everytime my period was late, I became more and more late and I started
seeing symptoms everywhere.
Stress can lead to hormonal imbalance and hormonal imbalance can lead to your breasts being sore and tender. My breasts are always sore once a month so I don't even attribute it as a pregnancy symptom anymore but when it first started, it freaked me out.
Other symptoms can sometimes arise because we are actively looking for them. I mean, if you didn't think that you were pregnant, would you really notice how many times you go to the bathroom a day?
Since you're two weeks late, it is a very good idea to get a pregnancy test done. If it's positive, then you need to go to the doctor and have them do a more thorough and complete test to make sure it's not a false positive. If it's negative, I would make an appointment to see a doctor anyway as once I was late due to a urinary tract infection and I didn't know it until I went to the doctor. Our bodies are usually balanced but anything can throw them off, especially stress.
If the test is pregnant, your doctor should take you through all of your options and what they mean. If they are biased one way or the other, seek a second opinion with someone who is going to give you .A.L.L of your options.
Best of luck and keep us posted.
