Im Scared.... Im 18 And I Might Be Pregnant Posted: 07-19-05 17:35pm
Im 18 yrs old... And may be pregnant.
Im late 2 weeks.. And I have read
symptons about sore breast.. Which I
have.. And peeing more than what I usualy
do. I mentioned this to my b/f and he
talked about an abortion... I dont think
I could ever do nething like that. My
mom would kill me if she found out that im
pregnant and im worried how im gonna tell
her.. And my b/f is only 16 and I know he
will be worried how to tell his parents.
Im hoping im just late due to stress..
But I dont know how to explain bout the
soreness of my breast. I guess I need to
take a pregnancy test as soon as I can,
without my parents finding out. Any
suggestions on how I can tell my parents.
And what should I do about the baby? :?:
i'm 17 and 7 weeks pregnant. When I found
out about 2 weeks ago that I was pregnant
I freaked out! I totally knew that my mom
was going to kill me...Not only her but my
whole family.
So I waited a whole day before I told her,
and trust me that was the worst day ever.
Not because me and my mom are close or
anything (we never were) but because I
knew that I had to tell her, and that I
couldn't just advoide it, because it isn't
something you can ignore. So she was out
that night at my aunt and uncles house for
dinner and got home late, while I was
waiting for her I wrote her a letter, and
told her everything...And I left it on her
bed. I heard her come home not long after
move around the house, talking to the dogs
(her room in directly over mine) I heard
her sit on the bed and then there was no
noise for a while! Lol I was freaked out
and then I heard her come down the stairs.
She actually wasn't angry!! She wasn't
happy either, but she didn't freak out and
scream or cry or swear at me or threaten
to kill me like I swore she was going
too...Lol. She was very calm, and now she
is extreamly supportive!! It's great,
but I just like you thought my mom was
going to freak out, because that's what
she's always done my whole entire life
about everything.
So I am sure your mom will handle it a lot
better then you are thinking she will if
you are pregnant.
As for what to do you have to do what
feels right for you. You are an adult and
no one can decide this decision but you.
I personally couldn't even fathom any
other option than raising my own child.
But that is me...I don't believe in
abortion but that is your choice. Don't
let anyone bully you into anything. And
there is always adoption.
Please give a good long thought about what
is right for you and your baby, and good
luck!

When I was 16 I got pregnant. I left my
dad a letter by the coffee maker. Any way
just remember everything will work out.
The most important thing is the support
you get from your family. My mom watched
my daughter so I could still go to school
and sometimes so I could go with my
friends. Your family will be the ones to
make this easier or harder. But don't
worry too much about your period. There's
no point worrying. I was so late once I
told my husband we might as well not use
protection because I was sure I was
pregnant. So we didn't use any protection
and the next day I got my period.

Thanks guys. I'm just gonna relax and
wait. I should know by the beginning of
august.
Remember you can take a first responce
pregnanct test, and it will let you know
up to 4 days before your expected period.

When I was younger, 17 and 18, I had just
started having sex and so every month was
a stressful event as I waited for my
period (even though my boyfriend and I
used protection every time). This stress
coupled with the stress of day to day life
did make my period late a few times.
Everytime my period was late, I became
more and more late and I started seeing
symptoms everywhere.
Stress can lead to hormonal imbalance and
hormonal imbalance can lead to your
breasts being sore and tender. My
breasts are always sore once a month so I
don't even attribute it as a pregnancy
symptom anymore but when it first started,
it freaked me out.
Other symptoms can sometimes arise because
we are actively looking for them. I
mean, if you didn't think that you were
pregnant, would you really notice how many
times you go to the bathroom a day?
Since you're two weeks late, it is a very
good idea to get a pregnancy test done.
If it's positive, then you need to go to
the doctor and have them do a more
thorough and complete test to make sure
it's not a false positive. If it's
negative, I would make an appointment to
see a doctor anyway as once I was late due
to a urinary tract infection and I didn't
know it until I went to the doctor. Our
bodies are usually balanced but anything
can throw them off, especially stress.
If the test is pregnant, your doctor
should take you through all of your
options and what they mean. If they are
biased one way or the other, seek a second
opinion with someone who is going to give
you .A.L.L of your options.
