Hi, my brother (38) was diagnosed with
hepathitis c about 5-6 years ago.
Yesterday, after some years of relatively
"controlled" disease, he was diagnosed
with cirrhosis. Obviously we are all very
confused and concerned and started calling
him to cheer him up and give him nice
comfort words. The reality is that we
have not stopped crying since last night.
I already read hundreds of internet pages
and as always many of them point to
different divergent information. As you
may think, I only need a very important
answer that is not yet clear for me: what
is my brother's life expectancy? Can he
grow old with this disease in a "human"
way? Will he be able to continue working
(he has an office job)? Quality of life?
