Baby Moving!
Posted: 07-19-05 20:42pm

I am 16 weeks and 2 days pregnant and once in a while my tummy tickles, like something is tickling it, and its always in a certain place....Is that the baby moving???? It kinda feels like there is a string or somethin tickling me, but there is no string! Haha....What did you feel when you felt your baby move? Did you know right then it was the baby moving? I still dont know if it really is the baby moving or just a scratch there every once in a while..

Hi there mom of five on hand here!!! You are definately feeling the baby moving. It sounds identical to the feeling I had when I was about the same stage that you are at! Enjoy!

It's great when you start feeling the baby move, just wait till he/she really starts kicking, I loved it!!

I don't know if you ever caught a butterfly in your hands when you were younger but that's what I found it felt like when trey started kicking. :)

Yep !!!
That's definately it- I spent days tugging at the front of my shirt, looking for the loose thread that was tickling me before I realized what was going on !!!!!

Congratulations

It Is Normal Not to Feel the Baby.....

It is normal not to feel the baby..... Everyday in the beginning. Pretty soon you'll be saying "hey could you slow down a little, and please I need some rest" cuz they always seem to want to move when you want to sleep. If you are worried about not feeling the baby a sprite sometimes will get them moving . But I am sure everything is okay. Im sure everything is okay!!!

Sometimes they get where their limbs are facing your back, therfore you would not feel the tickles, or thumps or at least not as much or as often. My babys moved like crazy, but my girl less than the boys. And when my daughter was pregnant she felt baby move a lot around 15 to 25 weeks and then hardly felt her at all after that. They had to do stress tests and everything. And let me tell you now shes out, she is on the go non stop 24/7. She a year old and the most beautiful baby, but exhausting let me tell you.

Thanks for the private message. Im doing great. Glad to hear your almost 20 weeks now. Great

keep us posted. Im glad you dint do the amnicentesis. You shouldnt have anything to worry about anyway.

Best of luck
