Pregnant But Absolutely No Symptoms Posted: 07-20-05 08:05am
I took a pregnancy test a few weeks ago
and it came back positive -- but I have no
symptoms -- can pregnancy tests be wrong?
Or am I just one of the lucky ones with
no symptoms yet? I guess I am about 6
weeks pregnant and have read where people
are already showing - I haven't gained a
pound! Thanks - its my first pregnancy
and we have been trying for months and
months and I think I am just paranoid
something is going to go wrong or I am
really not pregnant

Congratulations!!! I think you are
probably just one of the lucky ones with
no symptoms yet! I'm trying to get
pregnant and have never been pregnant
before so i'm not an expert at this! My
cousin has two kids and her first
pregnancy she was sick a lot. Her second
one she wasn't sick at all and had no
problems! So be glad! Have you been to
the doctor yet? Good luck to you!

If you are about 6 weeks pregnant, it's
highly possible that you aren't having any
symptoms yet, other than a missed period.
You may not get "morning sickness"
(which can occur day or night) and it may
be a while before you begin "showing",
depending on your body and the baby.
You do need to see your doctor as soon as
possible. He or she will give you
another pregnancy test and after an exam,
will start you on prenatal vitamins.
With my first child, I had no symptoms
either, other than missed periods, for
several months and then I doubled in size,
seemingly overnight, and delivered an 8#
10 oz. Perfectly healthy boy, and went
home from the hospital a few days later
only 5 pounds heavier than my
pre-pregnancy weight. My doctor then
believed that a lot of it had to do with
age and muscle tone. Congratulations to
you. Enjoy every minute of this time.

And also, I haven't heard of a false
positive pregnancy test. (that doesn't
mean it can't happen though). If you
haven't already, i'd go to the doctors and
get a blood test.
