What Can I Expect? Posted: 07-21-05 06:41am
Hi - my husband is 60 years old. Very
active. Hard worker and held down a good
job. He just had a lacunar stroke. He
has paralysis on the left side. This
happened about two weeks ago. The left
leg is beginning to move now. He is in
rehab. His arm has no movement.
Has anyone out there found that movement
came back later on even though there was
no movement since the stroke. His speech
is good, his mind is fine. I am really
scared about our future.

Regaining Feling And Mobility Posted: 09-12-05 08:53am
As I understand it. Fellings and mobility
may come back anywhere from one day to
several years. My father had a stroke and
has regained his arm and most facial
muscles withing days. The amount of
damage often determines the capacity to
regain control. The physical therapy
perscribed also helps to reconnect and
re-train nerve and muscle control.
