Weird Symptoms And Im Freaking Out Posted: 07-22-05 00:09am
Where do I start well ive been having some
attacks for about 2 years now I get
clammy, chest pains/heaviness, hard to
breath, upset stomach, dizziness,
dishoriented, pain down my arm (different
arm each time), and for some reason these
attacks come only at night about 4 hours
before bed. I went to the doctor when it
first started and was given an ekg because
on a chest x-ray they found a enlarged
valve in my heart but it turned out to be
okay. At that doctor visit two years ago
(last time I had been to the doctor) they
found I had mono and a virus that was
causing these attacks. Since that visit
they had stoped for about a year but in
the last year I have been getting them
about once a month but in the last two
weeks I have been getting them about every
night. Tuesday night I was driving to my
grandmas and I was having one badly so
when I got there my grandma took my blood
pressure and it was fine so we took my
blood sugar and it was 38...I drank a soda
and 30 mins later was fine and I didnt
have chest pains/pressure that night.
Last night I was suffering from upset
stomach and chest pressure, hard to breath
really badly and my blood sugar/pressure
was fine so I just went to sleep and this
mornign I had it a little bit. Some ideas
I have is stress/depression/anxiety
because other things I have going on is im
always tired im afraid of life and getting
a job (im 19) im very lazy and always
exhausted and I cry alot without reason
and I jus dont wana leave the
house..Another thing I was thinking is its
in my head for the last 5-6 years I have
been deathly afraid of having a heart
attack so I might be having the symptoms?
Well thanks for reading and any help would
be great I have no inssurance so I cant
really go see a doc at the moment..Oh and
one thing can anyone tell me if when your
having a heart attack does your blood
preassure change at all? Thanks for your
help

It sound to me like it might be
hypoglycemia--(however you spell
it)--which means low blood sugars. I was
low blood sugar for all my life until I
went high--diabetic now. Low blood
pressure too, until I went high
hypertension now.
Try eating every 3 to four hours, starting
right after you get up. Just a little
snack or something with carbohydrates--or
sugars.
Just for a few days--if not just try and
drink a soda or eat small amount of candy
when this happens, if it low blood sugars
it will subside with the eating or sugar
intake.
