Hi - New And Seeking Others Like Me Posted: 07-23-05 13:36pm
Hi
I am 37 and for over four years have
had pain in my left side below my rib and
in my back. I have had every test I can
think of, ultrasounds, xray, mri,
sonograms, colonoscopy, etc. I also
have thrombocytosis, elevated platelets,
that cannot be treated with too much
medication because it causes my pain to
become intense. I have seen more than 8
types of doctors and was hospitalized from
a reaction to medication to control my
platelets. While there they ran more
pictures of my abdomen and still nothing.
I am now seeing a rhuematologist and
waiting for those tests, next I am
thinking of a surgeon. Has anyone
experienced this and have gotten any
answers? Am I alone with this?
Sometimes I feel like it will drive me
crazy- can't go to the hospital when you
are in so much pain, what do you tell
them, all the tests have been done so you
sit in bed and wiat for sleep so it will
feel better in the morning.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
