Hey ya, I had a miscarriage last week and had d&c operation (on friday 22nd july) to have it taken out. But I wondered if I could get pregnant before my period is due. As were planning on waiting to try again as we've been through quite alot for this year. Thanks

Re: Getting Pregnant After Miscarriage
I know how you feel. I too had the same thing happen to me last week! My d&c was thursday (7/21). I asked my dr how long we should wait and she said 3 months to give your body time to heal. I'm thinking of waiting longer though... This was my second pregnancy and 1st miscarriage, and I am in more pain now that I was after I delivered my daughter!! As to getting pregnant, you may, my sister-in-law miscarried in february, and got pregnant again right after. They are having a little girl in december. If I were you i'd play it safe until I am ready to get pregnant again. That's what we're going to do.

I Understand
What you guys are feeling. I also had a d&c on 7/21 after a missed m/c. This was our first pregnancy and we were so excited. Now, i'm pretty wishy washy about trying again. I go back and forth with having this big urge to try now and then I start crying and am scared this will happen again. My doctor told me that because of the grief I am going through, that it may be better to wait about 3 cycles to try again. Physically, at least 1 cycle is recommended. I'm a nursing student (will actually graduate soon) and in all my books it basically says 1 cycle is ok. I personally have irregular cycles to begin with,so, i'll probably wait a couple months before trying again. At that will help me with a lmp date.

There are some success stories about women getting pregnant before their first cycle and they have healthy pregnancies. So, it can be done and it looks to me like it's a lot to do with the individual. Let me know how you all are doing. I'd love to hear more success stories. I've felt so hopeless as far as pregnancy lately....I really liked hearing the success stories:)
