Conversion Disorder Or More? Posted: 07-25-05 18:45pm
I have the typical sysmptoms of a
conversion disorder short of a few a
things. My tremors occur while I sleep.
My tremors will start when I am alone. I
have severe and chronic back pain both
while having tremors and while not. My
mental health is good but concentration is
severely deminished. Randomness of
symptoms do not follow any know stressing
event nor follow the idea of plea for
sympathy in public.
Only medical exam done was an mri which
revealed hypersensivity in the right
frontal horn of the brain. Diagnosis was
made by a neurologiost after a 45 second
examination. I have tried to get x-rays
and examinations done but my doctor says
there is no need because it is a
conversion disorder. The mri was done to
rule out ms although I am not sure it did
so as the testing was done without the
presence of symptoms.
Is this a conversion disorder and all in
my head or could this be something more
that my doctor isn't willing or isn't
educated enough to diagnose because lack
of education or my lack of ability to pay
and her having to accept medicare for my
treatment.
