H E L P...24/7? That's Not Rite Posted: 07-25-05 20:26pm
I constantly feel sick to my stomache.
The only time I don't is when im home.
Im so scared of throwing up and I never
do..Whenever I go out to eat or am away
that fear of "what if I get sick" always
pops into my head. This has affected the
relationship with my boyfriend because I
constantly make dinner dates short. Two
years ago, in highschool, I had a simaler
problem and it affected my diet. I feel
that it is defintley all in my head, but I
do not know how to make myself stop being
paranoid. Help

Have you tried getting out close to your
house, taking a walk in he
neighborhood?..Try doing that and tell
yourself that you should remain calm
because if you get sick you'll get to the
house in 3 minutes. Maybe this will help
you and in time you will begin to take
longer and longer walks and finally go to
a date or something.
How did you get over this when you were in
highschool?
But the best solution is to see a
psychologist, do some therapy.
Good luck!

Hey laur917,i suffer from a phobia called
emetophobia and have done since the age of
6,i'm now 21.It can get so bad that I can
not leave the house with out my mum as my
mum is also my full time carer because of
it.You do need to see your doctor who will
probably recomend counceling,i did
cognative behaviour therapy and
hypnotherapy as well as counceling and I
would never have servived if it wasnt for
my mum.I have a boyfriend who lives with
me and my mum and we are now trying for
our second pregnancy (as I miscarried our
twins in my first pregnancy in march/06).I
also have medicine with me at all times
that stops sickness and I eat alot of
ginger which is very good at stopping you
feeling nausious.I take homeopathic
remedies as well which are also very good
like avena sativa comp drops (to calm you
down) and mellisa comp drops (to help stop
nausia).I think you are also suffering
from panic attacks as you fear to be away
from home and probably feel like runing
home whenever you are out.My email
address'es are jswo
rrall@hotmail.Co.Uk (thats my msn
one,if you have msn then add me,i'm on
that most evenings) and j
sworrall04@yahoo.Co.Uk.If you want to
chat to me about things then I can try and
help you and give you ideas on what to
try,all the best darling,jadexxx

years now. I also have the fear of beign
sick. (theres a name for that,
emetophobia!) It definitely sounds like
stress. I have the same problem.
